You must be at least 18 years old to use ShenYuan. By using this Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.
ShenYuan provides AI-assisted Chinese astrology and metaphysical readings, including:
- BaZi (Eight Characters) — birth chart analysis and fortune reading
- Compatibility Analysis — relationship compatibility reports
- Daily Guidance — personalized daily fortune and advice
- Premium Reports — in-depth paid readings and consultations
- Provide accurate information when submitting birth data for readings
- Use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the platform
- Not share account credentials with third parties
- Not rely on readings for medical, legal, financial, or life-critical decisions
Paid features are processed securely via Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- One-time reports — charged once at the displayed price
- Monthly membership — automatically renews each month at the listed rate
- Cancellation — cancel anytime before the next billing cycle from your account settings; no further charges will apply
All content, branding, and software on ShenYuan are owned by or licensed to Lumee Technology. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
You retain ownership of birth data you submit; by submitting it you grant us a limited license to process it solely to provide your reading.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShenYuan and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 30 days preceding the claim.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Hong Kong.
To provide your reading, we collect:
- Birth data — date, time, and place of birth; gender
- Account data — email address (for membership and order notifications)
- Payment data — processed and stored by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
- Usage data — pages visited, feature interactions (via PostHog/Sentry analytics)
- Device data — browser type, OS, approximate location (IP-based)
- Generate AI astrology readings based on your birth data
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, renewal reminders)
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI models (anonymized)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your data is stored and processed on servers located in Hong Kong. By using ShenYuan, you consent to the transfer of your information outside your country of residence, including outside the United States.
We apply industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your data.
You may request at any time:
- Access — a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — update inaccurate information
- Deletion — erasure of your account and associated data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

We use essential cookies for session management and analytics cookies (PostHog) to understand how users interact with the Service. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; some features may not function correctly if you do.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will erase your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for 7 years under Hong Kong law).
We stand behind the quality of our readings. If you are not satisfied with your purchase:
To request a refund, email support@shenyuan.app with your order ID and we will process a full refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
- One-time report purchases: full refund within 72 hours
- Monthly memberships: prorated refund for unused days if cancelled within 72 hours of the charge
- Refunds are not available after the 72-hour window, except where required by law
ShenYuan provides AI-generated content for entertainment and educational purposes only.
- Readings are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice
- Do not make major life decisions based solely on AI-generated readings
- Astrological interpretations represent one cultural and philosophical tradition, not scientific fact
- Accuracy of readings may vary; no guarantees are made regarding outcomes
